The Cable Mountain Lodge is about as close to Zion’s park entrance as you can get. You can walk from your room to the entrance in under 5 minutes, and the Zion shuttle pickup is just a few steps away near the Visitors Center. The rooms here are nice and spacious. Plus, many of them offer breathtaking views of Zion. You can also enjoy a BBQ on your deck, or a meal prepared in the rooms with kitchenettes for added convenience.
For the luxury stay experience, Hilton’s Cliffrose hotel is the best place. You won’t have to sacrifice convenience for this piece of heaven either. The property is less than half a mile from the Zion Nation Park entrance. And it boasts spectacular views of the park throughout the property. Enjoy a day at the spa, sauna, gym or pools. Or end the day at their delicious on-site restaurant, Anthera.
The La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham is located in the heart of Springdale, just a mile outside of Zion National Park’s entrance. Enjoy the convenience of being so close to the park at nearly half the cost of other hotels. If you are looking for a nice hotel on a budget, this is the pick for you. Best Places to Stay in Zion National Park
Zion National Park has very limited options for staying inside the park. If you want to book a place to stay within Zion, you will need to book well ahead of time to beat the crowds. Spending the night in the park is a top priority for many people, so we will go over all of your options.
Zion Lodge is located in the heart of Zion National Park, about a 10 minute drive in from the southern entrance. The lodge is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and is an experience in and of itself. You can choose to stay in one of the log cabins or a more modern hotel room or suite. All accommodations include access to the main lodge with the restaurant, cafe, gift shop and more. Since this is the only place to stay in the park outside of the campgrounds, you can expect higher room rates and low availability.
The Watchman Campground is one of two campgrounds within Zion. This campground is located near the southern entrance with easy walking access to the shuttle station, plus it is open year round. If you are booking far in advance, this is a great option. Reservations open 6 months ahead of time for tent and RV camping. Pets are allowed at the campsites, however it is important to know that there is only one trail within the park that dogs are allowed on called Pa’rus.
The South Campground is located a half mile in from the southern entrance of Zion, and is open from March – October. If you are looking to book a trip in the coming weeks, this is the best campground for you. All reservations must be made within 14 days of camping, so you will want to book as close to two weeks out as possible to help ensure you get a spot. This campground is located about a quarter mile north of the Watchman Campground, and boasts the same access and accommodations.
